The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the Eketahuna sale as follows: —A heavy yarding of dairy cows and heifers was submitted to a good attendance. Best quality springing heifers met with a good sale, but the demand for ordinary sorts and cows was poor. Following is the range of prices:—Best springing heifers, £4 to £5; medium sorts, £3 to £3/15/-; late calvers, £2 to £2/10/-; best cows on drop, to £4/5/-; medium sorts, £3 to £3/10/-; late calvers, £2 to £2/15/-.
