The New Zealand Meat Producers ’ Board has received the following cable from its London Office, dated April 7, advising that the following are the approximate average wholesale prices per lb. realised for the week: —

N.Z. baconer pigs, 120/160, sd. Lamb Market: Consumption expanding satisfactorily and market steady with slightly better prices for lightweight.

Mutton Market: Wethers and ewes weaker, with trade slow.

Beef Market: Dull with prices unchanged, N.Z. Porker Pigs: Demand falling off as usual for the time of year. N.Z. baconer pigs: .Steady with fair trade.
