WELLINGTON REGIMENT.
REUNION AT PALMERSTON N. In connection with Anzac Day anniversary, the Wellington Regiment, N.Z.E.F., will hold a reunion of all ranks in Palmerston North on the Saturday following Anzae Day. The regiment, as a unit of the New Zealand Division, was drawn from the Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington districts, and it holds a great war record of engagements in Samoa, Gallipoli and France. The esprit de corps of the units still ranks high, and large numbers of old comrades foregather at the reunion to renew old comradeship and celebrate the landing on Gallipoli, and the numerous engagements fought throughout the War. This year’s functions include a smoke concert on Saturday, April 29, which will be presided over by MajorGeneral R. Young, C. 8., C.M.G., D. 8.0., who was a regimental battalion commander with the Main Body. On Sunday, April 39, a church parade will be held in commemoration of the regiment’s fallen, at All Saints’ Church, where the King’s Colours of the Regiment are deposited.
