EFFECT ON PENDING WORLD CONFERENCE. MB. MACDONALD WOULD LIKE TO HURRY IT UP. SETTING OUT NEXT WEEK. RUGBY, April 6. Asked in the House of Commons this afternoon if his visit to Washington. would have the effect of postponing the date of the World Economic Conference, the Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) replied: “Quite, the opposite, I hope. I would like to hurry it up.” Mr. MacDonald leaves on April 15 in the Berengaria to visit President Roosevelt, returning by the same steamer.—(British Official Wireless.)
