SOUTHLAND CHEESE.

MARKETING SCHEME UNDER CONSIDERATION. CO-OPERATIVE BASIS SOUGHT. INVERCARGILL, April 7. The co-operative marketing of Southland or South Island cheese Was the subject of a discussion at a largely attended meeting of Southland dairy factory representatives here to-day. The proceedings were taken in committee. It was reported later that it had been decided to set up a committee of fifteen members to consider the whole problem of marketing Southland cheese. It is understood that there were several references to a suggestion that the Southland brand be adopted and in any case the function of the committee is to be confined solely to the marketing of Southland cheese. The committee is to call a meeting at which its findings will be submitted.— (P.A.)
