PERSONAL.

The Rev. W. Bullock, Vicar of St. Matthew’s, is at present taking a rest in the country for the benefit of his health.

Mr J. Lama son*, of the local United Cricket Club, has been chosen for the Wellington representative team to play Canterbury and Otago. Mr H. M. Ewart, formerly of*the literary staff of “The Age” and now on the “Oamaru Mail” is at present on a visit to Master-ton.

Mr W. Laird has joined the staff of r.he “Wairarapa Daily Times.” For rhe past seven years Mr Laird has been

a member of the “Dominion” staff in Wellington. Mr Gordon Cook, son of Dr. Cook, of Masterton, has passed his final exanvnation in medicine. Early in the year he will take up a position as one of the house surgeons in the Auckland Hospital.
