MASTERTON SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op., Assn., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale as follows. —A fairly good entry of all classes of sheep came forward, our entry totalling 2150 head. The market throughout was not as brisk as at last sale, although no outstanding lines were offered in our list We report a total clearance as follows: 200 5-yr ewes 26/9, 88 do 26/, 234 do 24/6, 201 4 and 3-yr ewes 30/, 250 4-yr ewes 29/, 260 do 29/, 275 do 28/, 43 4-yr ewes 26/, 14 2 and 4-th ewes 29/9, 22 4 and 6 th ewes 30/10, 135 m.a. ewee 25-, 40 m.a. ewes 22/4, 75 do 21/11, 128 f.m. ewes 25/3, 80 do. 21/, 64 fat ewes 29/3, 1 1-shear S.D. ram 8 gns, 1 do 7J gns, 1 do 6} gns, 1 do 4 gns, 1 aged do 4 gns. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—A good yarding of sheep was submitted to a large attendance. Included were several lines of outstanding ewes and lambs and although prices for the better class of ewes show a decline on recent sales, lambs sold on a par and even higher than at late sales, while medium ewes and inferior sorts also sold on a par with recent ’ sales. Following is the .range of prices:—4 6 tooth ewes, a/e. C. A. Cameron 37/, 4 year ewes, a/c. same vendor 35/, 5 year owes a/c. Waihi Estate 31/, 4 and 6 tooth ewes 33/9, m.a. ewes 29/, 28/5, 26/2, 25/6, cull ewes 16/6 to 17/, shorn wether lambs a/c. H. P. Harrison 27/9, other lambs made 22/8, 21/, 20/6, cull lambs 15/. , c TH Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—We offered a fair yarding of sheep to a good attendance. Prices maintained fairly well, and we made a total clearance at satisfactory prices. 2, 4 and 6-th ewes (small) 1 25/7 to 28/7, 4 and 6-th ewes 32/, b.f. lambs (good) 27/7, medium 23/6, cull w.f. lambs 8/4, store ewes 18/6 to 20/, cull ewes 10/9 to 15/2.
