AUSTRALIAN ATHLETES.

STRONG COMPETITION COMING. FOR SATURDAY’S MEETING. Spectators at the athletic meeting at the Park on Saturday in honour of the Australian visitors will have a long-felt need attended to in the supplying of up-to-date information through the megaphone, Mr C. Parsonage, the expert Wellington megaphonist, having accepted the Wairarapa Sub-Centre’s invitation to officiate in that respect. Mr Parsonage states that he is bringing Kyle, Campbell and Leadbetter, the crack city runners with him, so provincial' battles should be fought out again under perhaps even more favourable conditions than they ■were at Wellington, last month. Entries close tq-day at noon.

Suitable train arrangements have been secured for both northern and southern patrons.
