SENIOR. UNITED VERSUS CARLTON. This match was commenced on No. 4 wicket Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon. United won the toss and batted, and at the fall of the last wicket had compiled 176, to which Watts 37, Phillips 27 not out, Newbould 27, F. Hoar 24 and Jones 18 contributed double figures. Low scoring was registered in this match which was played at the school grounds on a good wicket which the school team had first use of. The students, however, made only the moderate score of 128, McClure and Collinge being the only batsmen to get into the twenties. Tracy secured the bulk of the wickets.
