In the House of Lords, Earl Crewe announced that since Lord Robert Cod's statement, a telegram from the Athens Minister reported that to a certain degree order had been re-established.. He had ascertained that irrt'uhr armed bands had attacked the Entente troops and Venlzelists. TluWbands, including the officers, had been dismissed. Greek regulars were now truardinw Athens. The British Minister had advised tho Britishers to ao to Piraeus for greater safety. Though he did not fear immediate d\n<ver to British life and property, the Government did not regard the situation with less gravity. There was an unshaken deternunaion to fix the responsibility for Friday's events, and to secure their non-recurrence. The whole question involved military and naval considerations.
