CABINET RECONSTRUCTION.
When the British House of Commons me; on Monday, the Prime Minister (Right Hon. if. H. Asqnitii) announced that His Majtsfcy the King had consented to "• reconstruction of the Ministry. Mr Anquith asked the House to adjourn until Thursday to enable the work of reconstruction to be completed, and tin's request wss granted. The Prime Minister assured the House that any changes made would not involve the slightest change in the War policy. By this lie probably meant that nothing in the mvtmv of a patclied-up peace would bo tolerated. Although the whole of the Ministers have tendered their resignations, it seems now to be probable that neither Mr Asquith nor Mr Lloyd George .will sever their connection with the Ministry. The probata! litie's nro that Sir Edward Carson and one or two other strong and vigorous men will lie given places in the Cabinet, and that the war will be prosecuted with greater energy in the immediate future.
