KHAKI ARMLETS.
The War Office at Home, by the direction of Earl Kitchener, is issuing khaki -armlets to those who have enlisted and are awaiting a call, ami also to those who have, been medically rejected or discharged. These will enable the public to discivim'nato between men who are -willing to serve their country and those who are not. It may not be out of place to suggest that tho .Minis-tor of Defence in New Zealand should issue a, islimlar badge of honour. It would protect patriotic men against reproach, and would servo as an incentive to recruiting. Tho objection may bo raised that othe„r than .patriotic subjects woukl bo tempted to procure the armlets. Thus could bo prevented by attachill th n Crown, or some restricted badge, to the khaki.
