NEW ZEALAND FORECABT. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rew D. 0. Batea, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: The ctenfcw of a small atmospheric depression passed in the neighbourhood .of Cook Strait yesterday and strong westerly to southerly winds lia.ru predominated. Cloudy and unsettled weather has ruled, with rain in many parts of the country. Present indications nro for strong westerly winds with clrttngoablo squally and showeiiy weather, paiftieulaiily in the western and southern districts, 'the barometer is rising temporarily.
