A GERMAN REPORT.

ENORMOUS ARMY IN THE FIELD. ALLIES MUST ASSUME AGGRESSIVE. {Received Last Night. 5.5 o'clock.'! PARIS, August 29. . Wireless messages from Berlin state that the main German Army in tho Cambrai district has adyanceo. for nino days, gaining a continuous victory. General Von Kluck repulsed the British at Maubeuge and later attacked the British south of Maubeuge and succeeded in encircling them. Troops, under Generals Von Kluck and Von TTauren, completely defeated eight French and Belgian Army Corps between the Sambre, Namur, and the Meuse, safeguarding the communications. As men aro urgently required for the front, tho Kaiser has ordered the mobilisation of tho last reserves. They will bo employed to protect communications and to occupy Belgium, which will be used to supply the requirements of the Army and to relieve home resources. Tho re'ports indicate that the reserves have joined seven of the German Army Corns in the Cambrai district, which, with cavalry, now totals 430,000. If tho losses and the 50,00-0 left .it Antwerp are deducted, there must be 350.000, apart from the six army corns between Dinant and Thionville. General Lneroix, of the French Military Headquarters, summarising the situation, says tho Allies must keep the Germans busy to prevent them transferring troops eastward. Therefore, tho Allies must not be content to remain on the defensive. Attack must follow retreat, and thus discover when tho Germans have withdrawn their troops. The Uhlans are threatening, and may sever telegraphic communication ■
