THE SMALL-POX EPIDEMIC
LAST NIGHT'S BULLETIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Las* Nighty The following small-pox bulletin was issued - by the ' Deputy-Chief Health Officer this evening:— "The District Health Officer at Auckland (Dr Monk) reports, four cases in Auckland city fro-n a ;house in a previously infected area, also one case from Parnell, and another from Ponsonby. o'Tivo further cases are reported from Waiheke. "A case is reported '.from Great Barrier Island. ■ ■ » "The cases at Otorohanga and Parawera are all improving." CASES IN THE WAIKATO. HAMILTON, Last Night. Eight OTaUrpoir tfVes) are at prefceiit isolated at the Hospital;- The authorities report "that the epidemic is well in hand. An endeavour is, to be.made to obtain the assistance of the Natives themselves in checking the disease by establishing Native sanitary police. One officer will be appointed for each kianga. ' ,
