ENGLAND v. NEW .ZEALAND
(By Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tlie English tennis players cornclutled their Wellington matches to-day in fine weather. The courts were in excellent order, and the play at timew was brilliant. A nasty cross wind made lob shots impossible. Swanston and Ollivier (N.Z.) met' Parke and Lowe (Eng.). The visitors won ,tho first set 9 —7. Swanston played excellent tennis, but Ollivier was off. The second set went to the New Zeala-nders by B—6,8 — 6, Swanston's brilliant driving being a noticeable' feature. The deciding event was won by the visitors by 6—4, Parke> proving too superior in generalship. The visitors then played two exhiHtion matches. Parke met--Dixon, and after an interesting game nrevailed by 6V-2, 6 —l. Parke and Lowe succumbed to Dixon and Beamish, who won three sets out of five.
