NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. (By Telegraph — Prcs* Auoeiation.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev D. C. Bates, of the Me*wroiogical Office, tnis evening issued the following:— The barometer is still low in the ■south, and rain ha* fallen on both coasts southward of Westport and Lyttelton, but fair weather has prevailed elsewhere. Temperatures have risen to-day, and moderate to strong westerly winds have predominated. Present indications are for moderate to stron gwesterly. winds, with fair to cloudy weather generally', tmsettled n"id showery at times on the West Coast and in southern districts of the South Island. The barometer is unsteady, but shows little movement at present.
