COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale at Eketahuna on Friday, February 4th. We had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Cattle sold well at late rates, but sheep were hard to quit. In most cases vendors had to lower their reserves. We quote:— Sheep: 2, 4 6 tooth and f.m. ewes, tolls 9d* f.m. ewes 8s Id, woojly lambs medium 7s 3d, rams from half to two guineas. Cattle: Cows and calves £3 15s, 2to 2£yr steers £3 7s 6d £l4sto £3 15s, fat and forward eows £3 6s, forward cows £2 15s, springers, good £4 10s, Our next sale will be held on ruary 11th.'
