MONTHLY MEETING OF IKUSTEES. The Masterton Trust Lands Trustees Md their ordinary meeting last evening. There were present—Messrs T. B. Michell (Chairman), R. Krahagan, W. H. Jackson, H. C. Robinson, E. G. Eton, 0,. Pragnell. D. Caselbers? and T. VVagg. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £265 Os 9d. The Secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board wrote requesting particulars as to what amount of the £IO,OOO loan the Trustees would require this year. The Chairman said he had replied that no money would be required until August at the earliest.—Mr MichelPs action was approved of. A letter was read from the Secretary of the Fire Police asking for assistance towards defraying the expenses of the team attending the Auckland Demonstration. The Chairman said he had interviewed several Ti?ustees on the matter, and had. on their acquiescence, signed a cheque for £5 as a donation to the corps for the purpose stated. The meeting approved of this action. The Secretary of the Mastc-rton School Committee (Mr R. Brown) vrote' staling that the Committee agreed vvith the proposal of the Trust to establish a museum near the High School, and the Committee would undertake the care of the museum. The Technical School Managers also wrote agreeing to hand over tli3 old school building to the Trustees for a museum, on condition that the Tru:-.t would remove the building. It was decided to invite tenders for the removal ot the building, and the Chairman and Mr Daniell were deputed to supervise the work. A donation of £1 Is was granted to Mr E. S. Richards, late custodian of the museum, for caiing for certain museum exhibits since September. A scholarship grant of £lO was granted to W. 11. Hampton on the usual conditions. Mr Jackson moved that minimum scholarship grants of £lO per year, for the two year's currency of their scholarships, be given to winners of scholarships in the Masterton district, provided the conditions are complied with. The Trustees were unanimous that Mr Jackson's suggestion was a step in the righ* direction, and the motion was agreed to without dissent.
