TINUI NEWS.
From Our Own Correspondent.
Since writing last we have enjoyed some beautiful weather, with an occasional shower of rain, which helps to keep the pastures fresh. Stock of all descriptions are looking well, and should be in capital condition by the time winter arrives. Fat stock, especially cattle and good rape wethers, are looking splendid in our locality at present, and as the factory buyers are due here in the first week in March, we expect to see some more heavy drafts of all classes wending their way south. Our little district seems to be advancing step by step. On Wednesday Messrs Jackson Bros, just finished a new telephone line, which extends as far as Mr Richardson's estate on the north and Mr J. Wingate's Meldrum run on the west. Mr C. E. Daniell, of Masterton, has just about completed a fine new homestead and outbuildings for Messrs Dalziell and Bunny, Manawa. The building reflects the greatest credit on all concerned, and especially on Mr Hector Walton, foreman, and his staff of fourteen men, who have spared no pains with the work to give the greatest satisfaction to all. Mr Daniell also has a contract in hand to build a residence for Mr W. J. Dickens, junr., of Riverside Estate, Grassendale.
