MINE ON FIRE.

TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY MEN IDLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. WESTPORT, March 1. Word was received in Westport last night that the Westport Coal Company's Mine at Millerton was on fire. The Company refuse to give any particulars. It appears that a fire broke out yesterday morning in the main haulage way. There is only one exit, and consequently all work is stopped. It will probably be nine months before work is resumed at the mine, which employs 250 men.
