RECONSTRUCTION.
There are those who said that Sir Joseph Ward would be unwilling to entrust Landrf to any other Minister, because it is the storm centre of political strifes at present. His action is none the less a confession of weakness which will take a lot of explaining away, says the "Southland Times." As to the choosing of five men to fill the places of three, sane men can have only one opinion—that it is simply ridiculous to say that out of a House of eighty members ten are required as administrators. Whether this is more weakness on the part of the leader is another question to which this leader will no doubt be called upon to reply by Opposition members and the Opposition Tress.
