WEDDINGS.
CLAUGHTON—FULLER. A very popular and pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Miss May Fuller, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. A. Fuller, of Masterton, was married to Jr Herbert S. Claughton. organist at St. Matthew's Church, and late of Ilforcl, London. The ceremony was a fully choral one, the briae being a member of the choir, the Rev. H. Watson officiating. Mrs Hunn acted as organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in cream taffeta with veil and orange blossoms, and carried a dainty shower bouquet. Her sister, Miss Hazel Fuller, v/as bridesmaid, her dress being a cream minon de soie frock, and she also carried a pretty bouquet. The best man was Mr R. C. Nixon. After the ceremony, which was witnessed by a crowded church, a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parent?, "Waitohi," Johnston street. Here a very large gathering of relatives and friends was entertained, the customary toasts being honoured. Mr and Mrs Claughton left by the afternoon train for Rotorua, where the hoheynioca. will be chiefly spent. The bride wore a travelling dress of cream cloth with hat to match. A pleasant evening party in honour of the function was given by the parents of the bride last night at "Waitohi." TAYLOR-REiD. At Knox Church yesterday morning l there was celebrated the wedding of Mr Thomas Taylor, of the Railway Department, Masterton, and Miss Cecilia Reid, of Masterton. The brice wore a brown cloth costume, and picture hat, and was given away by Mr Donald Cameron. Four bridesmaids attended the bride—Misses Reid (2) and Cameron (2), the former being sisters of the bride. The bridesmaids' dresses weie of white muslin, each carrying a bouquet. !Mr C. J. Stewart was best man. The ccremonv was performed by the Rev. A. T. Thompson. A reception was held subsequent to the ceremony in the tea kiosk at the Park (Mrs Cameron's). LINDOP—MITCHELL. At St. John's Church, Wellington, yesterday, Mr Arthur Joseph Lindop, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. J. Lindop, of Carterton, was married to Miss Annie Mitchell, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Mitchell, of Wellington. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a gown of white chiffon taffeta, trimmed with Maltese lace and chiffon, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. Misses E. WestruD and E. Lindop were the bridesmaids. Mr B. Mitchell was best man, ar.d Mr D. Mitchell was groomsman. Mr and Mrs A. J. Lindop will take up their residence in Carterton.
