CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS.

The following hours of attendance will be observed by the local Post and Telegraph Office on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, 25th and 26th December, 1908, and Ist January, 1909, respectively:— CHRISTMAS DAY, 25th DECEMBER, 1908. Postal Branch-A close holiday will be observed. All mails usually despatched on this day will be closed at 9 p.m. on Thursday, the 24th December. A counter delivery of all correspondence, including registered, will be rtiade on Thursday, the 24th December, between 9 and 10 p.m. Telegraph Branch —Open from 5 to 5.30 p.m. only. Telephone Exchange—Open continuously. BOXING DAY, DECEMBER 26th, 1908. Postal Branch—Open from"9 to 10 a.m. for the transaction of all business, except Money Order and Savings Bank. All mails usually despatched on this day will be made up at 5.30 a.m., and forwarded by first train or coach thereafter. Telegraph Branch—Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Telephone Exchange— Open continuously. NEW YEAR'S DAY, Ist JANUARY, 1909. Postal Branch—A close holiday will be observed. All mails usually despatched on this day will be closed at 9 p.m. on Thursday, 31st December, 1908. A counter delivery of all correspondence, including registered, will be made on Thursday, the'3lst December, between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Telegraph Branch—Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange—Open continuously.
