UNITED STATES TARIFF REVISION. NUMEROUS PROPOSALS TO BE DISCUSSED. Received December 2, 8.58 a.m. LONDON, December 1. The New York correspondent of "The Times" states that the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives, which will report on the question of tariff revision, ha? commenced its sittings at Washington. and has received numerous proposals in the direction of Freetrade; alsu demands for free lumber, stect, hides, and art productions, and a substantial reduction of the duties in other directions.
