THE EDUCATION BILL. Received December 17, 8.13 a.m. LONDON, December 16. The English Catholics protest that; the Nationalist members of the House of Commons, excepting Mr Tim Healy, are supporting the amendments made by the House of Lords in the Education Bill, and attribute the position to a bargain made in connection with Irish legislation.
THE AOIION OF TUB NATIONALIST PARTY. IRISH BISHOPS AMAZED. Received December 17, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, December 17. The Irish Bishops ore amazed at tbe action of the Nationalist Party. The Bishop of Limerick accuses them of elaborate imposture, and declares that their action in connection with the Hoaso of LordH' amendments to the Education Bill is deplorable and discreditable. Tbe Bishop of Manchester, in a letter to the press, exhorts the House of Lords not to abandon the OhurohSohoDls ia order to save the Oatbolio Schools. The Times deolares that the Education Bill will be lost unless the Earl of Crewe announces very substantial concessions.
