PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00. reports as follows at I heir fortnightly stock sale, yesterday:—Sheep were represented by 2 tooth wethers, these making up to 13s 9.1. In cattle all classes came forward and the quality in nearly all oases heing had no difficulty in making a clearance at good sound priooß, grown steer making £5 2s, younger steers 60s, yearlings 21s to 32s 6d, dairy heifers 40s to o'Op, medium cows 35s to 40s. THE WOOL MARKET. By Telegraph—-Press Association. Received December 4, 9.46 a.m. SYDNEY, Daoemtor 4. Wool is in active general demand. Prices for all better classes are strong, with an upward tendency. Received December 4, 11.15 p.m. SYDNEY, December 4. The wool market at its strongest was probably to 5 F er <sGUtatove last week's rates. For all qualities there was a keen demand. The rates for comebacks and crossbreda were fully maintained. . Received December 4, 11.50 am. LONDON, Deoember 3. There is an animated sale for all sorts. Continental buyers are operating more fraely.
