By request Mr Kurton kindly lectured on the horses leg and hoof, detling with troubles each as ringbone, sideboue, splints and prick in foot. Needless to say the lecture was of the utmost value. The leotarer also gave directions bow to drench a cow and borse. One would naturally expect most farmers would know how to drenoh a cow and horse but one farmer stated that he •usually administered a drench with a pickle bottle while another said he usually poared medioine down Jtß •nostrils. The chairman at the close of ihe lecture assured Mr Burton that they had listened to his lecture with Interest. The lecture would prove a profitable one to farmers. Not only was it of immense value to the farmers but must tend to lighten Inspector Jenkin.son's labours. Mr Jonkinaon had always endeavoured to be on the spot as soon as he hward of trouble, bat it was hardly possible for him to-be everywhere at once. Ibe •chairman moved a ; most hearty vote of thanka to Mr Burton and hoped he would return again at •* later date. The motion was oarlied. Inspector Jenkinson who was also present proposed a vote of 'thanks to the chairman. Alterations are being made to the inside of the cheese factory to allow for the reception of more milk.
