g(To the Editor;. Dear Mr Editor,—l have got a tbirst, just a good, tborjugb, whole-souled thirst—for knowledge, yon see. I hope you wouldn't think I'd demean myself for an unlawful thirst. Now, Mr Editor, I want you to satisfy my tbirst. In the first place, do you know when Lansdowne will get its water supply? Secondly, do you know <vhen the County Council, Hit enlightened, progressive, hold-me-baok Uounoll, will widen the northern approach? Thirdly, do you know whether that same riotously leaping and bounding body baa spent ail its money in building its gorgeous new Chambers? Fourthly, do you know where our Museum is? Is it; in pawn for the Borough loan, or the lown Lauds Trust sinking fund??? Fifthly do you know when the Justice Minister (? the Stiokit Minister) is going to launch out in extravagantly spending that £SOO on a new Court House? Sixthly, do you know if the giltj- rodded curtain raising- ■■ magisterial-bench adornment is paid for out of the £SOO. Seventhly, do you know the difference between the Police Sergeant's residence, the police cells and the stables? Eightnly, do you know whether the next annual report of the Chamber of Commerce will chrunhde the startling fait that the telephonio Mastertou-Wellingtoo connection ia kept Eteadily in view? Ninthly, do you know the value of the shares of local industries started by the Chamber of Commerce? Tentbly, do you know where thd State coal depot is in Masterton?
