WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKINS SALES. Messrs Levin and Company, Limited, report ae follows regarding the sale at Wellington on Friday:— We offered a small catalogue of wool, and 1,750 skins, 200 hides and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool—There was a firm tone in the market and all lots realisd last sale prioes. We quote: Coarse orossberd, to 9>£d; inferior and logstained, 7d to 7%d; pieces and bellies, 5d to 6dj orutshingß, superior, %%i to 7}£d; good, 6d to 6}£d; seedy and inferior 5d to 5%d, Skins—Prioes ruled firm at last rates with a eronger demand for green skins and dead skins. We quote: Merinos, 8d to B>£d; fine orosibreds, B%d to 9J£d; coarse orossbreds, to 9d; dead skins, Q%& to 7%d; dead hoggets, 7d to short wools, 7d to 7%d; lambskins, 8d to *9d; woolly green skins, 7s to 8a 6d. Tallow—Strong competition at advancing prioes. Parcels in shipping order sold at £24 10s, tins at £lB to £l9, rough fat at £l4 15s. Horsehair—Sold at Is 6d to Is 8d per' lb. Horns—--7s to 16a 6d per 100. HidesThere was a large attendance of buyers and bidding was very animated and prioes were realised * that have not been known in this market for years. Best ox advanced %d per lb, and cow }£d per lb. Inferior hides also advanced % d. We quote: Ox hidea, 70Jbs and over, 6%d to 6%d; 601hs to 70lbs, to 6J£d; 501bs to 601bs, 6d to cow hides, 501bs to 601bs, 6d to oalf skins, best, 6%d to out, to 6d; slippy, to out and slippy hides, 4d to 5Kd; stag hides, 3%d to iy 2 d; bull hides, to 4d. Then next sale will be held on the 28th September.

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report as follows:—Wool—Market Arm a late rates. We quote: Orutcblngs, medium, to 6%d; inferior, 5%d to 6d; inferior fleece, B%d; dead, to Rood pieces, 7d; washed pieces, 4J£d. Horsehair -Is 5d per lb. SkinsMarket very firm at late rates, and if anything, showed a slight advance on last sale prices. ,We quote: Uood orooestred, B%d to 9d; inferior, to hoggets, 8d; dead and broken 6%d to 7%d; half, bred, 8d to 9d; iambs (dead), crossbred, short, 8d; green (nothing heavy offering) inferior, 4s 6d to 6s 2d; medium, 7s to 7s lid. Hides—Market showed an advance of per lb, and all lots were keenly competed for. Quotations: Prime ox, 6d to 6%d; inferior ox, 5%d to 5%d; ox, out and silppy, 4dtos%d; good oovva, 5%& to inferior cows, 5%& to 5%d; cut and slippy, 4%d to 5%d; bulls, 4d to 4%d; calf skins, 6d; cut and slippy, 3d to cowtails, Is 6d perdoz; glue pieces, 5s 9d per owt; horns, 7s per 100. shank bones, 3s 3d per owt. Tallow —The market advancred Is per owt. Prime (in oasks) 24s 6d; ingtins. 16s 6d to 18a 3d; rough fat, 14s 9d to 18s 9d. The New Zealand Load and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited reporc as follows:—Catalogues at the gale were rather small but buyers attended in force and prices were very firm for wool and a skins whilst hides and calfskins advanced from to >£d per lb and tallow about 15s per ten. We quote: Wool—orutchinga medium from 6>£d to 7d; inferior 4d to 6d; dead wool from to 9d.
