EGYPT'S FUTURE.
Received August 15, 8.45 a.m. BERLIN, August 14. * Following the lead given by the Deutsube Revue, which contended that Egypt, instead of becoming a British ; protectorate, should be treated as an objeot of common interest to Britain and Germany, the other German newspapers are fostering the idea, notwithstanding Sir Edward Grey's recent denial, that Britain wishes to annex-Egypt. The journals hint that Germany will acquiesce if she is compensated in connection with the Bagdad railway.
