Sir George Farrar, at a meeting of Progressives held in Pretoria, urged unity in maintaining British interests. The Premier add^o: i"The usual steps will be taken to keep others off the register." REPATRIATION OF CHINESE. Received August 12, 4.39 p.m. LUNDON, August 11. The Johnannesberg correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that four hundred Chinese, the majority of them being inferior workers, have availed themselves of the repatriation notices. Of this number 180 have gone under the original notice.
