MASTERTON POULTRY SHOW.
SECOND DAY. The seventh annual show of the Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association, which opened in the Drill Hall, on Wednesday, was concluded yesterday. Throughout the afteruoou and evening the attendance was much larger than on the previous day. It is very probable that application will be made next year for dates falling on a Friday and Saturday, as it is thought that on Saturday more country people will be induced to visit the show. The tickets for the art union in connection with the show sold very well, but the drawing will not take place for a few days The guessing competition (collective weights of a bantam, rooster, pigeon and goose) was in progress yesterday, and the Committee hope to make known the result to-day. The Mkiorcas shown were a very «ood quality of birds. The bird belonging to Mr A. Hendry that secured the special prize, was a fine specimen. At the last Christchurch Poultry Show the same bird won the championship. Mr A. Henderson obtained the soooud prize in the Black Minorca ben class with a very good bird.
