WAIRARAFA* THURSDAY , . ' UNION. , : ., results of yesterday's matches. Rover 1., 17; Albion 1., 0. KiaToa, 4; Rover 11., 0. Liberal ITI. 14; Albion 111. 6. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. ALBION v. ROVER. The Albion and Rover teams met on the Showgrounds yesterday' afternoon. The game was an-uninteresting one, and the Rovers won easily by IT points to nil. The folowing team represented the Albionsr—Dew, Sinclair, Flaws, Chapman, Holms, Williams, Walsh, Dixon, Wiokens, Earnshaw, Jackson, Andrews, o'Leary, Ellsmore, Power. During the first spell MoKenzie and Fairbrother scored tries for the winners, and in the second half Desmond, MoKenzie and Chew scored : tries. MoGuinesss converted one of MoKenzie's tries. MoKenzie ' and Fairbrother were the best of the visitors' backs, and Leviok was the pick of the forwards. Holms, Williams and Dixon were the best players in the Albion team, pMr K. Armstrong was referee. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. KIA TOA v. ROVER 11. The Kia Toa Juniors met the Rover Juniors on the Showgrounds yesterday afternoon. The game resulted in a win for Kia Toa by 4 points to nil. The teams were evenly matched, and the game was an interesting one. Prendeville potted a goal for the winners. Mr Hoppy was referee. THIRD-CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. ALBION 111. v. LIBERAL 111. The Albion and Liberal Third-class teams met at Greytown, yesterday afternoon, and the game resulted in a win for the latter by 14 points to 6. For tho winners Lesbert and Collins (3) soored tries, one try being converted by Crawford. H. Leeks and W. Thompson scored tries for tho Albions. Mr J. Fuller was referee. The Masterton first fifteen will play all-comers on the Showgrounds on Saturday.
