Colonel Webb, Officer Commanding the Wellington Volunteer District, , isjto beoornejUnder-Secretary for Defence, vioe Colonel Porter, who has bean appointed President of the East Coast Maori Council. It is further stated that Lieutenant-Colonel Webb will be succeeded in his present position by Lieutenant Colonel Davies, of Auckland; that Lieuten-ant-Colonel Wolfe, of Nelson, will succeed Lieutenant-Colonel Davies, in charge of the Auckland Volunteer Dijtrict, and that Major Joyce, adjutant to Lieutenant Colonel Webb, will be promoted to the command of the Nelsou district, and be succeeded by Lieutenant Mabin, of Wellington.
