TOWN HALL.

STEPHENSON'S ENGLISH COMEDY COMPANY.

Playgoers will be, no doubt, delighted to hear that, after an absence of twelve months, this popular combination is about to visit Masterton onoe more. Owing to alteration in steamer sailings, the company can only play here one night —Tuesday next, April 3rd. Since last seen here the company has been considerably altered and strengthened, while all the old favourites remain. Two new artists in Miss Mabel Morgan, of Melbourne, soprano, and Mr Harold Reeves, u baritone from the famous MoodyManners Opera Company, will be introduced. Other new faoes with the company will be Miss Rosina Buokmann, dramatic soprano, and Mr Leslie Hill, tenor. The piece ohosen for presentation here is the musioal extravaganza, entitled "Bill Adams, the 'ero of Waterloo." This pieoe has caused epidemics of laughter wherever played. It will be staged on a scale of magnificence and completeness seldom attempted by any touring company. Mr Stephenson carries sixty people, who include a chorus of thirty, ballet of eight, and an orchestra of eight, under the baton of the well-known New Zealand composer, Mr Alfred Hill. The box plan will be opened at Miss Rive's on Saturday morning, when there is certain to be a rush for seats. Mr Fred. W. Duval, business manager, is in Masterton making arrangements for the forthcoming season.
