INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.
DISTRICT REPRESENTATION. PALMERSTON N., February 12. A largely attended > meeting of citizens and settlers assembled, today, to confer Mr.Munro, the Executive Commissioner, of the New Zealand Exhibition', in regard to the representation of the Manawatu district at the Exhibition. The details were minutely gone into, after which it was decided that steps should be taken to have the distriot prepresented and the Executive Committee was empowered to convene a meeting of exhibitors and others to carry out the project. Mr lvis proposed to secure a "bay" at the exhibition, and tbqt both local producers and manufacturers shall combine to make the exhibits thoroughly representative of the district. Mr Munro announed that several of the leading districts of the colony were taking steps with a view to being rebresented at the Exhibition, and it was hoped that before.the time for closing the entries the whole of. the districts in New Zealand would come in.
