PROGRESS REPORT.

CHRISTCHURCH. January 4. The weekly official review of the progress of the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition states {that the tender of Messrs Moore Bros. (£4998) for the Art Gallery of the Exhibition has been accepted. The Government have sent invitations through the Governor to the following nations to be represented at the Exhibition '.—United States, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark; and Japan. The Government have decided to send Mr Gow, of the Industries and Commerce Department, to Japan in the interests of the Exhibition.
