The Royal Mail Steam Packet Company has acquired the whole of tho interest and goodwill of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company in the Orient Company, together with the steamers Orotava, Oroya, Oruba, and Ortona, engaged in the trade. The Times, commenting on the matter, says:—"lt may be assumed that a policy of considering tho travelling public in every way will be adopted. The newly - acquired Australasian trade service will henoe forth be known as the Oriont Royal Mail Line."
