The secretary also appends a statement showing that the subsidy on contributions by local authorities amounted to £520 ss. The Taylor-Carrington Company gave a donation of £11 Is, on which a subsidy of 24s in the £ was paid, £13 5s 2s, which makes the total Government subsidy £533 10s, as shown. The secretary explains that " £273 7s 8d of this amount was for subsidy earned in the preceding year and appeared in previous balance-sheet as an asset of the Board."
