Monday, 13th June, 1892. (Before W. H. Kevell, Esq. , E.M.) JUDGMENT SUMMONS.

Duncan Bethune v. Robert M'Cunn. — Judgment summons for £6 13s 6d. Mr Finlayson for plaintiff. The defendant did not appear. The Court rn-wle an order for defendant to pay £6 13s 6d by two instalments within one and two months from date, or, in default, fourteen days' imprisonment in Dunedin gaol. TRAVELLING WITHOUT A RAILWAY TICKET.

Jas. Kerr (station master) v. Moore Quinn. — Information against defendant for breach of the by-laws relating to the New Zealand railways, in that he did travel in a railway carriage without having obtained a ticket authorising him so to do. Defendant was one of a party of volunteers who had received a pass enabling them to travel in company. He travelled alone, and so renderedhimself liable. He pleaded guilty, and was fined Is and costs (75.)
