JUMBLES.

One oup BUgar, one-half cup butter, two eggs, one cup sour milk, one-half teaspoonful of soda, one tablespoonf ul of oaraway seeds, flout enough toroli; form into email, round cakes and bake a light brown. LEJIOX CHEESE CAKE. Oae pound of sugar, one-half pound of butter, juice of three lemons, grated rinds of two, yolks of six eggs, whites of four ; beat thoroughly, pvit in a jar and place in a pan of water and boil till thick; turn into a mould ; serve ojlu. BEEF SOUP. Boil one small beef bone in three quarts of wattr. Wtien it has boiled three hours, add two fjj'ore. two turnips, four potatoes ehi'Tj* I.1 '.
