THE TUAPEKA ELECTION

MR BENNET ANNOUNCES HIMSELF.

It will be seen by an advertisement in another column that Mr Jas. Bennet, M.0.0., has announced himself as a candidate for the suffrages of the electors of Tuapeka in the coming election. Mr Bennet, we understand, has been waited on by a number of people from various parts of the electorate, who have induced him to contest the seat with Mr J. C Brown. The new candidate has not yet announced his views ; but as he opens his electioneering campaign at Evans Flat on Monday evening the electors will have an early opportunity of hearing him on the situation.
