About 800 people put in an appearance atjjhe, first. day's races of the Tokomairiro Jockey Club's annual meeting. The" 1 attendance would in all likelihood have been larger were it not for the occasional showers which fell throughout the day. Trapper easily pulled off two of the principal events— viz., the Hurdle and Tokomairiro Handicaps.
