The" 1 attendance would in all likelihood have been larger were it not for the occasional showers which fell throughout the day. The weather to-day was more favorable for ttciDg> The attendance in consequence wan larger 1 than on the previous day, Jthere being fully 1000 people on the ground. Trapper easily pulled off two of the principal events— viz., the Hurdle and Tokomairiro Handicaps.
