RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, LAWRENCE.
In the R.M. Court on Monday last, before W. H. Revell, Esq., li.M., and J. C. Brown and P. Miller, Esqe., Js.P., the following cases were disposed of :—: — T. Wilion and Co. v, Sosewatt Bros.— Claim of £9 5s 9d. Mr M'Coy for plaintiff ; Mr Gooday for defendants, who oonfessed that the amoun 1 .. was due, and aske • that time might be given them to pay, owing to their being unfortunate in mining. Same v. Ah Yum—M.? M'Coy for plaintiffs, who stated that judgment for £13 13s 6 i was entered against defendant ou tbe 9th March last, and as the amount hud not since been paid he asked that an order bs made to compel the defendant to pay the debt. After hearing evidence, His Worship refused to grant an ordpr. S. A. Harris v. John Teasdak.—Mr Finlayson for plaintiff; Mr M'Coy for defendant, who was called upon to contribute towards the support of comDlaitiant's child, of whom defendant was the putative father. After hearing evidence, His Worship made an ordei for 5s per week aad costs (425.)
