LAND BOARD.

The weekly meeting of the Land Board was held on Wednesday. Present — Messrs Maitland (Chief- Commissioner), Duncan, Green, Clark, M'Kenzie, and J. B. Bradshaw.

The following business of local interest was transacted : —

WAITAHUNA WEST.

The Clerk of the Balmoral Road Board wrote requesting approval of Land Board to plans of road-lines north of sections 4 and 14, block ix., Waitahuna West district, under section 59, Land Act, 1877, on which they proposed to expend the sum of £287 6s lOd at their credit .—Approved.

RIFLE RANGE.

Mr J. H. Patrick, on behalf of the Waitahuna Rifles, applied for license for seven years for rifle range, 30 chains long by 1 ohain wide, being portion of the township of Havelock, between sections 6, 7, 8, and 9, block xxx., and the river, under Volunteers Act, 1881. —Referred to the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
