Messrs Donald Reid and Co. held their first sale of this season's clip at their wool stores, Cumberland-Btreet, on Friday, when they offered a catalogue comprising 335 bales 6 fadges and 78 bog?. There was a fair attendance of buyers, including several new in this market. ■ , Prices compared with the first sale of lust year opened about the same level, while Lincoln, Leicester, Romney, and coarse crossbreds ranged id to Id per lb higher. They told 314 bales 6 fadges and 75 bags, the following brands maVinp the highest prices ! — JS, greasy cross-bred, 9^d ; RH, do merino, lOd ; do half-bred, lOd ; RS over G, do do, 9id; AX conjoined, first cross-bred, 9d NG-, greasy merino, 9Jd ; do cross-bred, ranged 6&d to lOd ; do merino, 6$ to lOd ; do pieces, 3d to 6f d ; do locks, lfd to 4£d ; washed merino, 12d to 14£ d ; do cross-bred, which is not in much favor, 7£d to lO£d.
