MEETING AT EVANS FLAT. A meeting of the Vigilance Committee' appointed to see that sufficient steps are taken in the district to suppress the rabbit nuisance was held at the Evans Flat, Schoolhouse on Saturday evening. Gentlemen, not members of the Committee, who also took an interest in the subject, were present. On the motion of Mr P. Brook, seconded by Mr Hogg, Mr Henry (of Bellamy; estate), was elected to the chair, and reported that since the date fixed upon for' the commence* ment of poisoning operations, he had caused 25 bushels of poisoned grain to be laid on bis run and had distributed 7i bushels to bis aeighbourt.
