A silver-mounted Riding Whip, the gift of Mr. Reid, saddler, for the best kept harness ; also, a pair of Silver Spurs, for the best groomed horses. Open to all comers. RULES. 1. Furrows not to be less than 5 inches deep ; ploughmen to choose their own width. 2. Each competitor to plough onethird of an acre, to be gathered tip into two equal gathered-up ridges, with an equal number of furrows on each ridge, an equal number on each half ridge (mole furrows included), and to be done in five hours. 3. Entrances : — Subscribers entering one plough, 2s. 6d. ; two or more, ss. each ; non-subscribers, 10s. 4. Each man to find his own poles ; no one to interfere with ploughmen after poles are set. All other rules will be read on the field. All entries to be made to the Secretary on or before Monday, 26th inst., after which date all entries will be charged double. 6. Match to come off on Wednesday, 28th May, 1873. Ploughmen to be on ground by nine o'clock.
