ISSUE OF £250,000 NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT DEBENTURES IN NEW ZEALAND. j : Treasury, Wellington, Bth April, 1873. mENDERS are invited for the purchase -*- of the whole or any portion of Two Hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, issued under the Acts of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled " The Immigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1870," and "The Defence and Other Purposes Loan Act, 1870/' subject to the undermentioned conditions :—: — 1. The Debentures will be payable to Bearer, and will be issued in sums of not less than One Hundred Pounds each. 2. The Debenture's, which are secured on the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony, will be.ir interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15Lh day of April and ihe 25th day of October in each year, at the Bank of New Zealandat Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier, Nelson, Blenheim, Christ church, Greymonth, Hokilika, Dunedin or Invercargill. 3. The principal sum wilt be payable on the 15ih day of April, ]913, at the Treasury at Wellington, or at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand, in New Zealand, at the option of the holder, six. months' notice being required, previous to maturity, of the place at which payment will be required. 4. Tenders will be opened at the Treasury at Wellington at noon on Friday, the ninth day of May nest, in the presence of such of the tenderers as desire to be present — the minimum price under seal being first placed on the table. In the event of equal • tenders being received for a sum in excess of the issue, &pro rala distribution will be made. 5. The amount tendered for must be I paid at the Treasury at Wellington, a3 under :—: — 5 per cent, accompanying application ; * the! balance on or before the 16lh May, 1873. Or at the option of the purchasers.: — 5 per cent on application 20 per cent, in 1 month 25 percent, in 2 months I with, accrued 25 per cent, in 3 months j interest 25 percent, in 4 months J * Purchasers electing to pay balance within a week will be entitled to interest from the loth day of April. On payment of the final instalment, Debentures signed by the Agents appointed under the respective Acts, will be delivered to purchasers or their nominees, j Half per cent, brokerage will be allowed to brokers through whose applications sales are effected. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock on the 9lh May, will be accepted, provided they are accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency of the Bank of New Zealand, notifying that the necessary deposit has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand, to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account.
